THE "CLIMAT" - Appelation Gevrey-Chambertin Control; The name of this climat comes from the Old French "Vaucelle" which refers to a small valley. The relief of this climat is particularly undulating.
TERROIR - This climat is located in the extreme north of the appellation, right on the top of the hillside with a calcareous soil formed of pure alluvium.
Its altitude, east-facing exposure and location on the terraces imparts great tension which enhances the sensation of complexity and spicy aromas.
TASTING - Appearance : beautiful ruby colour with shiny reflections
Bouquet: It reveals slightly toasted notes and a subtle blend of concentrated red fruits with gooseberry and raspberry characteristics which evolve towards slightly vanilla notes.
In the Mouth : Fine and mineral, it presents a balanced structure, great length and subtle aromas of red fruits and spices.
